A Countryside Garden was sent on January 17, 2018

Charlie was a great friend to many in the asphalt industry, a wise, trusted and highly valued professional colleague on the association staff, and an even better human being. He will be missed by many. Thoughts and prayers go out to all who knew, respected and loved this fine gentleman. APAI

My thoughts and prayers go to the family and close friends of Charlie. The time of passing from this life to the next is difficult for those left behind. I worked with Charlie during his time with APAI and we collaborated to improve asphalt pavements and increase knowledge. Charlie was practical in his approach.

I never knew much about his personal life but am not surprised by the story of his winemaking. Charlie strikes me as a quiet, faithful man. To his friends and family I ask that the peace that only Christ can give should flow into your hearts. And there rest knowing that Charlie lives beyond time but for those of us still bound by time that we will see him again.

A Grandma's Garden Table Basket was ordered on January 18, 2018

My sincerest condolences to the family. The terrible pain of losing a loved one in death is something we all have in common. The Bible at 1 Corinthians 15:26 speaks of death as being the last enemy that God will one day bring to an end. As does Revelation 21:3, 4. There, though, we see that not only will death be done away with but so will the pain, suffering, and tears we all face at some time in our lives. I hope your family will find comfort from God’s promises during this most difficult time.

A Mountain Meadow Pedestal Arrangement was ordered on January 18, 2018

Message from Pete Wert, Chairman Emeritus, Haskell Lemon Construction Co.

Mary, just learned of Charlie's passing; so terribly sorry for your loss. Charlie was one of my closest colleagues in the company, and our industry will miss him greatly. Still think of him every time I drive to our ranch on IH-40 and go through the 5 mile portion that we constructed the asphalt base for the surfacing contractor. Charlie and their lead supervisor had some "spirited" conversations about the soft grade. May God bless and comfort you. Pete

May you find comfort in knowing that your dear one is safe in the memory of God, who will remember every detail about them and bring them back again. And as the"last enemy death is brought to nothing. 1Cor.15:26; And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more. Rev 21:4; Acts 24:15; Matt 6: 9,10
