Tell City, Indiana –

Mary Jo Rice, 88, passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2017, at her home, surrounded by close family and friends.

Mary Jo was a 1946 graduate of Tell City High School and had worked at General Electric, retiring in 1973. She loved spending time with family and friends. Her interests were dancing, fashion, and the hunt for a good deal.

She is survived by her son Jim Rice, and his wife Kris, Tell City; granddaughters  Jamie Rice (husband, Dan Henig) of Portland OR, and Maryann “Poppy” Rice; two great-granddaughters, Ariella and Sasha Henig; two sisters, Blanche DeJarnette, Tampa, FL, and Janice Fry, Eaton Rapids, MI. “Aunt Jo” was a favorite to many nieces and nephews, being their confidant and offering them her positive support.
