Nelie V. Huff, 79, joined her husband and daughter in heaven on Saturday March 6, 2004 at Perry County Memorial Hospital in Tell City.
Nelie was born December 11, 1924 in Calhoun, Kentucky the daughter of the late James Levi and Lula (Abney) Burden. She was united in marriage October 25, 1941 in Tell City to the late George O. Huff who passed away in 2002. Also preceding her in death was a daughter, Patricia Brown, a daughter in law, Mary Rose Huff, four brothers, Johnny, Ike, Hugh, & Thomas Burden, and four sisters, Katie Jenkins, Ada VanHoosier, Frances Daughtery, & Viola Young. She was a homemaker and had formerly worked at General Electric. She was a member of Evangelical United Church of Christ. Nelie enjoyed traveling in the Smoky Mountains, camping, reading, attending TOPS, shopping trips to Owensboro, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Monday March 8, 2004 at Evangelical United Church of Christ with burial in Greenwood Cemetery at Tell City. Rev. Lee Brown will officiate. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday and from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM Monday at Huber Funeral Home, 1139 12th Street, Tell City, Indiana.
