Lamar, Indiana

 

Randall R. “Randy” Kratzer, Sr., 57, passed away Thursday, December 6, 2012 at St. Mary’s Medical Center.

 

He was born October 7, 1955 in Tell City, son of the late Charles Chenault and Marjorie (Kratzer) Lawson. Also preceding him in death was a sister, Connie Kratzer and a grandmother who raised him, Lucy Kratzer.

 

Randy was president of Indiana Coon Hunters Association and a member of Spencer, Perry and Warrick County Coon Clubs. He was a skilled Texas Hold ‘Em poker player.  He enjoyed coon hunting and spending time with his grandchildren.

 

He is survived by his wife Emma (Parr) Kratzer; daughters, Miranda Hartman, Chrisney, Marjorie McMahan, Troy, Daisy Kratzer, Tell City, and Brandy Hasselbring, Ferdinand; sons, Randall “Bub” Kratzer, Jr., Lamar and Charles Kratzer, Lamar; sister, Debbie Schraner, Tell City; brother, Tim Kratzer, Tell City; 8 grandchildren and 4 step-grandchildren.

 

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, December 8, 2012 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel with burial in New Hope Cemetery in Newtonville. Pastor Ben Hartwig will officiate. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 8:00 PM Friday and from 9:00 until 11:00 AM Saturday.

 

Memorial contributions may be made to Christmas Wish Foundation.

I am very sorry to hear of your loss. There are many words to offer but we all know that the only thing that will heal your heart is time and support from your family and friends. It is hard at first but in time things will get better. We are all praying for you and your family.
