armored division, 3Army, earning 3 bronze stars and American campaign medals under General Patton. He was a lifelong member of V.F.W. Post #2939. Butch enjoyed IU basketball, fishing, hunting, gardening and spending time with his family. He is survived by his daughters; Marcia Wirthwein, Karen Smiley, Judith Beumel (Alex) , Rebecca Paulin; son, Bryant Bolin, all of Tell City; 13 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 15, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel with burial in St. John Chrysostom Church Cemetery in New Boston, where there will be military graveside rites conducted by V.F.W. Post #2939. Rev. Don Overton will officiate. Visitation will be 4:00 until 8:00 PM Friday and from 10:00 AM until service on Saturday. Memorial contributions may be made to V.F.W. Post #2939 or St. Luke's Episcopal Church.
