Carolyn Branam

Birdseye, Indiana - Carolyn A. (Kluesner) Branam, 68, passed away on April 19, 2017 at Jasper Memorial Hospital. Carolyn was born in Perry County, Indiana on August 2, 1948, to the late Hilary and Nell (LeClere) Kluesner. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. Branam, a sister, Patty Ann Kluesner and a brother, Donald Kluesner. A 1966 graduate of Perry Central High School, Carolyn had lived in Bloomington, where she was a beautician and caregiver. She later returned to Perry County, where she continued to care for the elderly. Surviving are her fianc, Ed Denu, Birdseye; daughter, Therese Dowdy, Bedford; son, Jason Branam, Ellettsville; sisters, Nancy Rohl (Bill), Schnellville and Margie Harpenau, Evansville; a brother, Linus Kluesner (Nancy), Bloomington; and a grandson, Tyler. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM CDT on Monday, April 24, 2017, at St. Isidore Catholic Church in Bristow, with burial in the church cemetery. Father Timothy Sweeney will officiate. Visitation will be at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, on Sunday from 2:00-7:00 PM CDT. Memorial contributions may be made to Lange-Fuhs Cancer Center in Jasper.
