Tell City, Indiana - Cheryl Freeman, 67, passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2014, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville. She was born in Perry County, Indiana, on October 31, 1946. A 1964 graduate of Cannelton High School, she was united in marriage to Alden Freeman on May 8, 1965. She retired from General Electric where she was employed for 33 years. Cheryl was a member of Seventh Street Baptist Church, a former chapter president of Mothers Against Drunk Driving and she enjoyed sewing, gardening and spending time with her family. Surviving are her husband, Alden Freeman; a son, Eric Freeman, his wife Vicki and their children, Bryn and Josie of Newburgh; a daughter, Lisa Marciniak, her husband, David and their children, Abigail and Madeline Marciniak of Cudjoe Key, Florida; parents, Ed and Doris Yvonne (Weatherholt) Burst; sisters, Rosie Powers (Mitch), Hawesville, Kentucky and Carla Harlen, Cannelton; brothers, Jim Burst, Cannelton, Bud Burst (Sandy), Cannelton and Mike Burst, Tell City. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Laura Freeman; sisters, Mary Ann Cash and Michelle Burst and brothers, Mark Burst and Chris Burst. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 7, 2014, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 until 7:00 PM on Thursday and from 9:00 AM until service time on Friday. Pastor Harold Draper will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to Seventh Street Baptist Church.
