Sue Wescoat

Cannelton, Indiana Sue Rice-Wescoat, 63, passed away May 4, 2016, at her home in Cannelton. She was born December 2, 1952 in Louisville, Kentucky, daughter of the late Thomas and Pauline (Hogan) Skaggs. Also preceding her in death were sons, Robert Rice, Jr. and Bryan "Bubba" Rice and sister, Joyce Ann Skaggs. She was a member of Berean Baptist Church. Sue had worked as a cook at Yaggi's, and as a sales associate at Walmart. She enjoyed flower gardening, watching birds and quilting. Sue is survived by her daughter; Melissa Thiery, Greenfield; sons, Shawn Rice (Nena), Owensboro, Kentucky and Chris Rice, Cannelton, Indiana; sisters, Janet Curry, Louisville, Kentucky and Kathy Secoy, Harned, Kentucky; brother, Tommy Skaggs, Hudson, Kentucky and eleven grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday, May 9, 2016, at Huber Funeral Home, Cannelton Chapel, with burial in New Cliff Cemetery. Pastor Harry McDonald will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time. .
