Violet Stroud

Leopold, Indiana - Violet S. Stroud, 84, passed away on January 7, 2013, at Todd-Dickey Nursing Home in Leavenworth. She was born in Perry County on February 5, 1928. Her parents were the late Clarence and Mary (Farris) Senn. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Verlin Stroud and a grandson, Larry Dale Stroud. Violet was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, American Legion Auxiliary Post #213, Veterans of Foreign and Wars Post #2939. She enjoyed fishing. Surviving is her son, Dale Stroud, Leopold, Indiana; step grandchildren, Richard and Michael Schneider and a great grandson, Spencer Schneider and great granddaughters, Katlyn and Sarah Schneider. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 20, 2013, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, with burial in Luxemburg Cemetery near Oriole. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM (noon) until service time. Memorial contributions may be made to Hosperous of Southern Indiana or Luxemburg Cemetery.
