Allen Vogelman

Allen L. “Vogie” Vogelman, 74, passed away on December 22, 2025, at his home.

He was born in Tell City and went to school with the Tell City class of 1970. He was united in marriage to Judy Hess on July 11, 1998, at Evangelical United Church of Christ.

Allen retired as a welder at Corn Island Shipyard. He was a former member of the Legion and Moose. Allen enjoyed playing golf and fishing and bowling. He liked to watch Colts football.

Surviving is his wife of 27 years, Judy Vogelman; daughter, Sandy Nishamori (Marcus); son, David Vogelman (Kim); sister, Paulette Hudson and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

His parents, Paul Vogelman and Gladys (Huffin) Vogelman Flamion and a brother, Paul David Vogelmann preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM CST on Friday, December 26, 2025, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, with burial in Chestnut Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until service time.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
