Robert “Bob” Polen, Jr., 77, formerly of Tell City, passed away on February 1, 2026, at his home in Sylacauga, Alabama.
Bob was born on June 26, 1948, to Mable (Real) and Robert Polen. He was a Vietnam veteran that bravely earned a Purple Heart and retired from the Indiana Army National Guard. Bob retired from the United States Postal Service.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a huge New York Yankees and IU basketball fan.
Surviving are his children, Jamie Polen (Missy), Roberta Angle, Steven Polen (Breauna) and Michelle Fannin (Dale); grandchildren, Brittany Polen, Giles Pugh, Allison Clifton, Alexis and Abby Fannin, Grayson Polen, Cassie and Carli Polen and great grandchildren, Ellie Mae Clifton and Olivia Polen.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Rita (Bolin) Polen in October 2025; a sister, Mary Anderson and brothers, Jim Judd and Omer Polen.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM CST on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Eddie Olberding will officiate. Burial will follow in Bolin Cemetery in Cannelton.
Visitation will be on Thursday from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
