Bobbie Goffinet

Mary Barbara “Bobbie” Goffinet, 98, passed away on October 21, 2025, at Brickyard Healthcare-Lincoln Hills. She was born in Cannelton on January 20, 1927, a daughter of George and Goldie (Kieser) Neyenhaus.

After graduating from Cannelton High School in 1945, Bobbie married Dewey Goffinet on August 22, 1946.

In 1987, she retired from General Electric and was a member of St. Marks Catholic Church, VFW Auxiliary, Gatchel Homemakers Club and Perry County Council on Aging.

Bobbie enjoyed reading, working search and find puzzles, quilting, making crafts and spending time in her flower gardens. She also looked forward to a good game of euchre. Bobbie was the happiest when she was with her family and they were all together.

Surviving are her children, Becky Davis (Wyman) and Brad Goffinet (Vicky); daughter-in-law, Judy Goffinet; grandchildren, Tim Davis (Darlene), Sonja Poole (Brett) and Gretchen Hawhee (Frank); great grandchildren, Lauren Gaynor (Brandon), Emily Alvey (Daniel), Claire Davis, Brittney and Courtney Poole, Bryce Lain (Lauren) and Autumn Lain; step great grandchildren, Kailynn Hawhee, Jarrett Hawhee (Shylah) and Tyler Hawhee and great-great grandchildren, Lainey and Henry Gaynor, James and Byron Alvey, Cooper Lain and Hudson Mogan.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband Dewey A. Goffinet in 1999 and a son, Steve Goffinet in September 2025.

Bobbie’s family would like to thank Brickyard Healthcare and Heart to Heart Hospice for the amazing care they took with their mother.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM CDT on Friday, October 24, 2025, at St. Mark Catholic Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Tony Hollowell will officiate.

Visitation will be Thursday from 2:00-6:00 PM CDT and Friday from 9:00-10:00 AM CDT at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark Catholic Church or Rivers Edge Animal Shelter.
