Carol Mills, 63, passed away on April 19, 2026.
Born on January 19, 1963, Carol was a 1981 graduate of Perry Central High School. Carol had worked at PSC for over 20 years, retiring in 2021.
All her life, Carol had a love of horses. She was a member of the Southern Indiana Horseman’s Club and the Southern Indiana Draft Horse and Mule Association. She loved horseback riding and camping. She always looked forward to riding trips to Loretta Lynn’s Ranch.
She had been a lifetime member of Deer Creek Baptist Church.
Surviving is her husband of 23 years, Eddie Mills; stepson, Brad (Rachel) Mills; her brother, Alan (Nancy) Schroeder; stepmother, Ruth Schroeder; half-sister, Deana Hall; grandchildren, Sydney and Gage Mills; a niece, Alie Hedinger and nephews, Alex Schroeder and Paul O’Bannon.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Don Schroeder and Nancy (Reynolds) Hall and a brother, Loren, in infancy.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at Deer Creek Baptist Church. Rev. Dr. Elmer Shelby will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Southern Indiana Horseman’s Club.
