Charlotte M. Goffinet, 80, passed away at home on September 10, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was born in Tell City on November 19, 1944, a daughter of Leonard J. and Oda May (Covey) Terry.
She went to Howell School where she had the same teacher for all eight years. Charlotte graduated from Tell City High School. In 1962, she was united in marriage to Allen Lee Goffinet.
After 30 years, Charlotte retired as a cook and custodian from Tell City-Troy Township School Corporation where she had worked at Franklin, Newman, Tell City High and lastly at Tell City Junior High.
Charlotte enjoyed reading and scrapbooking. She will always be remembered for time spent in scripture and in prayer, especially after her husband passed, and for the beautiful quilts that she made. She was especially proud of the ones she made for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Charlotte quilted with ladies at Deer Creek Baptist Church for over fourteen years and also with Lincoln Trail Quilters.
She is survived by her children, Kevin Goffinet (Bridget) and Leah Brown (Brian); grandchildren, Grant Goffinet, Grace Burger (David), Isaac Brown (Katie) and Jessie Brown; great grandchildren, Lillian, Maggie, Sophia, Jackson, Declan and Cullen; sister, Patricia Glenn and sister-in-law, Judy Terry.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Leonard and Oda May Terry; husband, Allen L. Goffinet; brother, Michael Terry and brother-in-law, Greg Glenn.
Funeral services will be held at 12:30 PM CDT on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time on Sunday.
Memorial contributions may be made to Lilly Dale Cemetery.
