Chester Dawson

Chester E. Dawson, 75, passed away on November 18, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his family.

Chester had been a logger, working for Sullivan and Sons in St. Croix and with his best friend, Irvin Enlow. Chester had fond memories of using horses to log when working with Irvin.

He enjoyed coon hunting, taking walks, pitching horseshoes and playing with his grandkids.

Surviving are his children, Jeremy Dawson (Kerstie) and Jennifer Dawson (Carolyn); sisters, Shirley King and Geraldine Cronin (Bob); 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Jesse Dawson and Eloise (Young) Dawson King; his wife, Martha (Mullen) Dawson; great grandson, Xavier Dawson and siblings Ernie Dawson, Tweet Wilkerson, Jenny Kieser, Wanda Horsley and three brothers in infancy.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025, at 6:00 PM CST at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Visitation will be from 4:00-6:00 PM.
