Chester Hess, Sr.

Chrisney, Indiana Chester R. "Chet" Hess, Sr., 56, of Chrisney, passed away Monday, May 12, 2014 at Owensboro Health Center. Chester was born September 14, 1957 in Tell City, son of the late Chester Roy Beard and Audrey (Wilgus) Hess. Also preceding him in death were a sister, Rebecca Holden and brother, Doug Hess. Chet was employed at Masterbrand as a forklift driver and had served in the United States Army. He enjoyed golf and watching football and baseball. Chester is survived by his wife Deborah Hess, Chrisney; daughters, Samantha Hess, Newburgh, Alison Hess, Chrisney, a son, Chester Hess, II, Chrisney, sisters, Carolyn Polen, Chrisney, Ruth Miller, Spring Grove, Illinois and Janice James, Henryville. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, May 17, 2014 at Huber Funeral Home, 1139 12th Street, Tell City, Indiana, with Rev. Christena Poehlein officiating. Visitation is from 11:00 until 1:00 on Friday.
