Cliff Woods

Clifford Paul "Cliff" Woods, 74, formerly of Ceredo, West Virginia and Boyd County, Kentucky, peacefully passed away on May 3, 2025, at his home in Troy, surrounded by the love of his family, after a long, courageous, 17-year battle with cancer.

Born in Boyd County, Kentucky, on November 4, 1950, Cliff was the son of Jack and Goldie (Newsome) Woods. He had a long career as a commercial painter, working with C.E. Adkins and Sons, before retiring to spend time with his family and indulge in his hobbies.

Cliff was a friendly soul who always had a smile for everyone he met. He genuinely cared for others and was always ready to lend a hand. Known as the family handyman, he loved to tackle DIY projects and was often found remodeling or fixing things around the house. However, his true joy came when he was out trolling the lake in his bass boat, with his special fishing buddy - granddaughter, Brandi Verkamp.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Pamela "Pam" (Stevenson) Woods; his children, Scott Woods, Rhonda Yinger (Gene), and Richard Blankenship; his sister, Shirley Sturgill; brother, John Woods; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Cliff's speech therapist, Emily Howard, who became a cherished part of his life as well as Gentiva Hospice for their compassionate care.

Cliff is now at rest, reunited with his parents and his two children, Susan Hardeman and Steven Woods, along with his brothers, Vance, Jack, Robert, and Roy Woods.

A memorial service will be held in his honor at Selvin Community Church, at a later date. Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, is helping the family with arrangements. In the meantime, friends and family are encouraged to share their memories and condolences at www.huberfuneralhome.net.
