David Nix

Tell City, Indiana David A. Nix, 69, passed away on Friday, November 12, 2021 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born in Cannelton on October 11, 1952, son of Raymond J. and Sudie M. (Kyle) Nix. David was united in marriage at Chestnut Grove Church on May 1, 1971 to Delsie Jordan. A carpenter, he retired in 2014 from Claise Construction. David was a minister for more than 20 years at House of Prayer. He loved his church and spreading the word of God. He was currently attending The Refuge Church in Rockport. David cherished his time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great granddaughters. Surviving is his wife of 50 years Delsie Nix, Tell City; children, Angie Caldwell (Darin), Rome, Tonya Rummage (Jason), Hawesville, Steve Nix (Julie), Owensboro, Keith Nix (Tina), Grandview, Brandi French, Shelbyville and Josh Nix (Katie), Evansville; mother, Sudie Nix, Cannelton; brothers, Harold Nix (Ruth) and Barry Nix (Diane), Cannelton; sisters, Peggy Hess, Tell City, Donna Hess, Newtonville and Brenda East (Wayne), Cloverport; grandchildren, Brooke Smith, Kayla Nix, Drew Smith, Hana House, Briana Nix, Kyle Nix, Lexi Ling, John Caleb, Jaxson Nix, Kaitlyn Korressell, Wyatt Nix and Keaton Nix and two great granddaughters, Averi Poindexter and London Payne. Preceding him in death was his father, Raymond J. Nix and brother, Delbert Ray Nix. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM CST on Monday, November 15, 2021 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Pastor Jason Toler and Rev. Dwayne Swanagan will officiate. Burial will follow in Troy Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00-6:00 PM and Monday 9:00 -11:00 AM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
