Denny Bolin

Dennis Eugene Bolin, Sr., 79, passed away peacefully at his home with his family alongside him.

He was born in Cannelton, a son of Norman and Laura (Russell) Bolin. Denny worked at Hilger’s Laundry and after retiring, worked at Walmart where he enjoyed playing Santa for over fifteen years.

Denny liked woodworking, camping and going hunting. Time spent with his family meant the most to him and he always looked forward to visits from them.

Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Peggy Bolin; children, Cheryl Cravens (Charles), Dennis Eugene Bolin, Jr. (Connie) and Denisa Waddell (James); grandchildren, Jeremy Cravens (Sarah), Mandy Bolin (Cody), Caleb Cravens (Terissa), Katlynn Hall (Austin), Timothy Bolin (Laira), Nathan Bolin (Brandi), Lacey Martin (Chris), Megan Shoultz (Luke), Sara Patton (Ethan) and Brittney Waddell; great grandchildren, McKenzie, McKayla, Karlie, Jackson, Aiden, Carter, Charlie, Cash, Millie (on the way), Audra, Lyla, Amelia, Jase, Bexley, Annistan, Daxxon, Nakoa, Ryleigh, Trent, Karson, Xavier and Chloe.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Norman Eugene Bolin and Laura Emma (Russell) Bolin Burden; sister, Rita Polen; brother, Russell Bolin and three brothers in infancy.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM CST on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, with burial in Bolin Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until service time on Saturday. Denny’s son will officiate.
