Don Roberts

Donald L. "Don" Roberts, 88, passed away April 10, 2022. He was born in Grandview on December 8, 1933 son of Arthur "Si" and Wilmoth "Wid" Roberts. Don was a 1951 graduate of Rockport High School and was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was united in marriage to Marjorie Howell on June 16, 1956 at St. Paul Catholic Church. Don retired from AT&T in 1990 after 33 years of service. He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, American Legion Post #213, 40 & 8, and Grandview Masonic Lodge #191. Don enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and playing bridge. Don is survived by his wife of 65 years, Marjorie "Marge" Roberts; son, Don Roberts (Beth), Evansville, Indiana; daughter, Sheila Staples (Larry), Cincinnati, Ohio; four grandchildren, Allyson Roberts, Sugar Hill, New Hampshire, Anthony Roberts, Newburgh, Indiana, Ashley Carter (David), Cincinnati, Ohio and Amanda Sivira (Francisco), Jacksonville, Florida and one great granddaughter, Daisy Rose Carter. Preceding him in death besides his parents were two brothers, Marion Roberts and Jimmie Roberts. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM CDT Wednesday, April 13, 2021 at St. Paul Catholic Church with burial in St. Mary Cemetery where there will be military rites conducted. Rev. Tony Hollowell will officiate. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 7:00 PM on Tuesday and from 8:30 until 9:30 AM Wednesday at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. There will be a Masonic service at 6:45 PM on Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Grandview Masonic Lodge #191 or St. Paul Catholic Church.
