Elmer Cooper

Tobinsport, Indiana - Elmer R. Cooper, 85, passed away Saturday, December 24, 2016. He was born in Spencer County, IN on June 29, 1931 to the late Forrest and Esther (Wibbler) Cooper. Also preceding him in death is his sister, Mary Schum and a brother, Brian Cooper. Elmer was a U.S. Army veteran and 50 year member of the Harry G. Myers American Legion Post #142. He had worked for several years at the Tell City Bowling Center, as he enjoyed bowling, fishing, gardening and living on the river. Surviving is his son, Jeff Cooper of Atlanta, GA; sisters, Doris Boyer of Terre Haute, IN and Vivian Tozer of Huntsville, AL. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. CST on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Pastor Ann Skiba will officiate. Burial will follow in Dale Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home.
