Geoffrey L. “Pops” Jennings, 80, passed away on July 5, 2025.

He was born in Louisville, Kentucky on July 28, 1944, son of Richard and Ruby (Butler) Jennings.

He was united in marriage on March 13, 1973, to Betty Fuchs, who precedes him in death. Geoff retired from Laborers Union Local #1392 after 30 years of employment.

He was a Kentucky Colonel and a member of Disabled American Veterans. In his spare time, Geoff loved to fish. Geoff was most well-known for his many hours of dedication volunteering for the Salvation Army as a bell ringer at Wal-Mart during the holidays.

Surviving him are his grandsons, Gage Jennings and Jordan Jennings; nieces and nephews who cared for him and siblings, Timothy Jennings, Terry Jennings, Lana Steinmetz, JoAnn Samuels and Linda Keller.

Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Betty Jennings; a son, Jason Jennings and brothers Michael and Owen Richard Jennings.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery where there will be military rites. Visitation will be from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Tuesday and from 9:00 AM until service time on Wednesday.
