Geraldine R. Hagman, 81, passed away on September 10, 2025. She was born in Tell City on March 25, 1944, a daughter of Earl and Marie (Etienne) James.
On February 16, 1963, Geraldine was united in marriage to Darrell Hagman. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church.
Geraldine was a babysitter for most of her life and took pride in all of the 150 children that she cared for over the years. She enjoyed quilting, tending to her flower garden and weed eating. In the early to late 90’s, Geraldine and Darrell looked forward participating in Perry County Chamber’s the “Bright Lights of Christmas” residential light contest, where they won several red ribbons for their displays.
Surviving are her children, Sherry Gill, Roger Hagman (Helen) and Chad Hagman; siblings, Allen James, Charlotte Mayden, Durward James, Linda Ziegelgruber and Betty Jo Genet; grandchildren, Brandon Gill (Jayleigh), Bridgett Hubert (Brandon), Heather Meyer (Brent) and Cody Hagman (Paige) and six great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Earl and Marie James; her husband, Darrell Hagman; son-in-law, Don Gill and brothers, Doyle and J.C. James.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM CDT on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel with Father Luke Waugh officiating. Burial will follow in St. Augustine Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Sunday at the funeral home.
