Geraldine Parsons

Geraldine R. “Jerry” Parsons, 80, passed away on August 7, 2025.

She was born in Perry County on June 4, 1945, a daughter of Everett and Anna (Perry) Jordan.

Geraldine had worked at the OAKS, Snappy Grill and babysat. She enjoyed going on day trips with her friends at Oakwood and played bingo, worked crafts, crossword puzzles and word searches while residing there. Geraldine had over 150 active pen pals and loved listening to gospel and bluegrass music. “Aunt Jerry” could be as loving as anyone could be however, she had no filter with friends and family when it came to telling you what was on her mind.

She is survived by her nieces, Charlotte Williamson and Pam Smyth; nephews, Jay Seals and Charles “Junior” Bowman and several great nieces and nephews.

Geraldine’s parents preceded her in death along with her husband, Greg Parsons; siblings, Bonnie Bowman in infancy, Charles Bowman, Evelyn Seals and John Bowman and nieces, Donna Palmertree and Joyce Yost.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, with burial in Chestnut Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until service time.

Memorial contributions may be made to Oakwood’s Resident Activity Fund.
