Ginger R. Fisher, 63, passed away on September 29, 2026, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.
She was born on June 21, 1963, daughter of Billy and Glodean (Kellems) Kratzer. Ginger was a 1981 graduate of Tell City High School. Ginger was united in marriage to John Fisher on July 24, 1982, at First Baptist Church.
Ginger was a member and church pianist at Freewill Baptist Church in Cannelton. She adored her “grandpups”, Milo, Sophie, Bo, Ellie and Nigel. Ginger loved shopping for clothes, shoes, purses and jewelry. She usually would include a stop at Hobby Lobby too. Ginger was a fan of Lynyrd Skynyrd and would never miss an opportunity to sing one of their songs during karaoke night. She always looked forward to her family’s annual trips to Gatlinburg. Ginger and John had just gotten back from a week there.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, John Fisher; sons, Trevor Fisher (Heather) and Zach Fisher (Stephanie); grandson, Ryan Fisher and brother, Jeff Kratzer (Sabrina).
Preceding her in death were parents, Billy and Glodean Kratzer.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM CST on Monday, October 5, 2026, at Freewill Baptist Church, 117 South Second Street, Cannelton. Brother Tim Gaynor will officiate. Burial will follow in New Cliff Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Freewill Baptist Church on Sunday from 2:00-6:00 PM CST and 9:00-11:00 AM on Monday.
Memorial contributions may be made to Freewill Baptist Church.
