Jim Dixon

Tell City, Indiana - James E. "Jim" Dixon, 73, passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2019, at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born on April 11, 1946, son of the late Otis and Ruth (Mills) Dixon. A 1964 graduate of Tell City High School, Jim married Ellen "Louise" Kyle on September 25, 1965 in Tell City. He worked at National Southwire Aluminum for over twenty years and later at General Electric. He had been a member of Indiana National Guard. Jim enjoyed fishing, working on cars and going to car shows. He loved his '65 Mustang and enjoyed taking it on drives alongside his wife. Surviving him are his wife of 54 years, Louise Dixon; children, Kevin Dixon (Becky), Tell City and Katrina Flamion (Brent), Cannelton; grandchildren, Tyler and Cody Dixon (Alexis Zehr), Logan (Maribeth), Cole and Sadie Flamion; great grandchildren, Baylie and Emma Dixon and Noah and Jackson Flamion and brothers, Roger Dixon (Patty), Tell City and Wayne Dixon, Tell City. Also preceding him in death besides his parents were his twin grandchildren, Trenton and Morgan Flamion and a brother, Jerry Dixon. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, Novermber 26, 2019, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Rev. Ron Ammon will officiate. Visitation will be from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Monday and from 9:00 AM until service time on Tuesday. Memorial contribution may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
