James Irvin “Jim” Hall, 92, passed away on September 14, 2025, at Deaconess Memorial Medical Center in Jasper.
Jim was born in Derby, Indiana on May 8, 1933, son of Irvin and Minne (Seibert) Hall.
Jim worked as a boilermaker for fifty-one years and was a member of Boilermaker Union Local #374. He was a founding member of Perry County Coon Club and had been a member of the former Perry County Go Cart Club.
He loved to play golf, ride horses and mules and his side by side. In his younger years, he enjoyed coon hunting. Jim was very proud of all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are his children, Monte Hall and Marsha Hall-Prieto; sisters, Patricia Schraner (Robert) and Bonnie Stiff (Alvie); grandchildren, Amity Hodges (Kevin), A.J. Hall (Danielle), B.J. Hall (Casey) and Amber Webster (Brian); great grandchildren, Cole and Caysen Hodges, Arrissa, Trevor and Julia Hall, Logan, Nolan, Brayden and Landon Hall, Kyra, Reaghan and Graham Webster and step great grandsons, Aden and Ethan Dodson and Keegan Houtchen.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Marjorie (Smith) Hall; a sister, Minnie Marie Smith and brothers, Roscoe and Donald Hall.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM CDT on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Rev. Dr. John Charles will officiate. Burial will follow in Carr Cemetery near Derby.
Visitation will be on Friday from 2:00-7:00 PM and Saturday from 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
