Jim Pannett

James R. “Jim” Pannett, Sr., passed away on December 18, 2023 in Owensboro, Kentucky.

He was born on May 23, 1938 to Harold and Mildred (Banks) Pannett.

Jim was a Korean War Army veteran. He had retired from Tell City Chair Company.

He had served as a V.F.W Chaplain. Jim enjoyed fishing and loved his four cats, Roxy, Tux, Lucy and Cat.

Surviving is his wife of 65 years, Linda (Stephens) Pannett, Tell City; his children, Lisa Corley (Dennis), Lewisport, Ky, Sandy Jones (Gary), Tell City and James R. “Rusty” Pannett, Jr. (Rhonda), Tell City; sister, Mary Ann Birney, Dearborn Heights, MI; brothers, Ray Pannett (Brenda), Tell City and Jerry Pannett (Judy), Evansville and several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents; children, Sheila Benningfield, Sherri Morris and Scottie Pannett; a granddaughter, Mandy Harper; sister, Elsie Hargis and brothers, Charles, Eddie and Dave Pannett.

There will be no services. Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
