Joe Wilson

Joe Allen Wilson, 67, passed away at his home on April 8, 2026.

He was born on February 7, 1959, to Joe and Patricia (Pitman) Wilson. Joe was an Army veteran and a truck driver for Nancy Baer and Diamond J Trucking.

Joe, who was also known to many as “Papaw”, loved to ride motorcycles and was a member of Tribal Brotherhood MC. He enjoyed working on cars and fishing.

Surviving is his wife, Cheryl Wheatley; a daughter, Brandy Taylor (James); stepchildren, Allen and Samuel Sturgeon and Marie Richardson; a brother, Justin Wilson; sister, Pamela Velez; grandchildren, Torie Holder, Roscoe Holder, Jr., Jeremiah Holder and five step grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents and first wife, Marjorie Wilson.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM CST on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Brother Brian Adkins will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9:00 AM CST until service time at the funeral home.
