Joseph Piper

Tobinsport, Indiana Joseph B. "Joe" Piper, 47, passed away Thursday, January 3, 2013 at St. Mary's Medical Center. He was born August 15, 1965 in Chicago, IL son of the late Dan and Dorothy (McGuire) Piper. Also preceding him death was a daughter, Megan Piper and sister, Barbara Troutman. Joe was united in marriage to Ann Cronin July 3, 1989. He had been a mechanic at Tri State Auto and Diesel and has also worked at Viking Truck and Auto and Thompson's Tire. He enjoyed hunting, playing cards, working in the garage, and spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Ann Piper ;sons, Joey and Robbie Piper; mother-in-law, "Babby" Cronin; brothers, Danny Piper (Brenda), Barry Piper, Jeff Piper (Kathy), Dee Piper (Melissa); sisters, Janice Warner (Melvin), Sue Ann Yates (Tooter), Jeannie Ward, Evelyn Brooks (Jacky), Sheila Piper, and Beverly Cates (Jackie); several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Monday January 7, 2013 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel with burial in Simons Cemetery. Pastor Ann Skiba will officiate. Visitation will be from 3:00 until 7:00 PM Sunday and 9:00 until service time on Monday. Memorial contributions may be made to Eddie Cronin Football Memorial Scholarship Fund.
