Kimberly Lynne Embrey-Hill, a vibrant soul who embraced life with passion and compassion, passed away on April 14, 2025, at Baptist Health in Louisville, Kentucky. She was 63.

Born in New Albany, Indiana, on July 11, 1961, Kim was a proud graduate of Perry Central High School, class of 1979. Her journey began at Branchville Correctional Facility. While there, she began her pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in business management, that she earned from Indiana University Southeast. This educational achievement opened doors for her as she served as the director of the Perry County Community Foundation for many years. Her commitment to her work led her to Louisville, where she became the Executive Director of the Multi-Purpose Community Agency. There, she nurtured friendships with her employees that were so meaningful to her.

Kim's life was marked by her unwavering dedication to causes close to her heart, particularly animal conservation and the well-being of horses. Kim also enjoyed traveling, with hopes to explore the world and experience its diverse beauty, she looked forward to her time at the gym, dedicating herself five days a week after work. Most importantly, spending time with her family and friends was always cherished. She was especially proud of her daughter, Chloe.

Surviving is her husband, Jay Hill; daughter, Chloe Hill; mother, Marilyn (Richert) Ewing; a brother, John Ewing (Susan); nephews, Brody and Caleb Ewing; niece, Susan Rathfon and great niece, Bailey Banks; her aunt, Phyllis Embrey-Wright (Carleton) and cousins, Suzanna Wright-Ivey and Jeffery Wright.

Preceding her in death was her father, Elbert Ewing; sister, Dawn Ewing; stepbrother, Kevin Ewing; a niece, Emily Ewing and grandparents, Roy and Eva Embrey.

A Memorial service will be held at 5:00 PM CDT on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel.

Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until service time at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kentucky Humane Society, Kentucky Equestrian Center or Rivers Edge Animal Shelter.
