Lana Faye Howe, 64, passed away on August 8, 2025, surrounded by her family.
She was born on September 26, 1960, daughter of Cletus and Daisy (Harper) James.
Lana was a 1978 graduate of Perry Central High School and worked for C&S for 40 years before retiring.
On July 23, 1983, she was united in marriage to Denny Howe at St. Augustine Catholic Church, where she was an active member. Lana was a eucharistic minister and served on several committees, including the quilting, picnic and building renovation. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Lana was an avid turkey hunter and enjoyed quilting. She was particularly proud to gift her siblings a quilt, made from their father’s shirts, after he passed away. She was very creative when it came to her love of arts and crafts. Lana and Denny owned French Ridge Candles and Creations for many years. You could find her fragrant candles at almost any local Circle S location or craft show. Together, they would travel all over to set up her craft booths.
Surviving is her husband of 42 years, Denny Howe; her mother, Daisy James; her beloved siblings, Mary Beertzer, Donnie James, Kathy Clayton, Sheila Leisman (Randy), Kevin James and Doyle James (Karen) and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death was her father, Cletus James and a brother, Roger James.
