Linda Haager

Linda Fay Haager, 73, peacefully passed away on June 8, 2025, at Serenity Springs Senior Living in Jasper, Indiana.

She was born in Florence, Alabama on August 24, 1951, to the late Elsie Fern (Montgomery) and John Thomas Reed.

Linda was born and raised in Alabama for some years before her family moved to Chicago Heights, Illinois after her father took a job operating heavy equipment.

She started her schooling in Chicago Heights but eventually her family found their way to Eckerty, Indiana, where her mother’s family was from. She lived in Eckerty throughout the remainder of her school years and graduated from English High School in 1969. Though she had fond memories of all the places she lived, her heart was always in the hustle and bustle of city life. Not long after graduating she packed up and moved to Florida, where she lived until 2022, until her dementia diagnoses took her back home to family.

Linda loved life and could outwork and outwit anyone around her. She was highly competitive, loved Peyton Manning, Dale Earnhardt and all things Alabama. She devoted her life to her cleaning business and helping anyone in need.

While living in Stuart, Florida, Linda taught Sunday school at the Church of Christ, offered to pet sit for people, even though she didn’t care for animals and could be heard from outside the house screaming at the television during football season. She will be greatly missed.

Surviving is her son, Thomas “TL” Bough (Amanda); grandchildren, Dillan, Taylor and Josie; great grandchildren, Casen, Colton and Thomas and her siblings, Thurman Reed (Joyce), Tom Reed (Annette) and Marla Wilkerson (Tim) as well as several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents and her sister, Joanne Enlow.

Per Linda’s request, graveside services will be private in Greenwood Cemetery.

Huber Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
