Linda Peter

Linda S. Peter, 79, passed away on November 5, 2026, at Serenity Springs Senior Living in Jasper.

She was born on January 17, 1947, daughter of Fidel and Hettie (Rhodes) Pund.

Linda retired from Perry Central High School as a custodian and had worked at Big Lots, from its opening until its closing.

Linda enjoyed going to yard sales and thrifting with her sisters as they were always on the hunt for a good deal. She liked landscaping and always looked forward to spending time with her beloved grandchildren.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Lisa Gordon (Steve); grandchildren, Zach Gordon (Cassie), Nick Gordon (Meranda) and Alex Gordon (Heather Robinson) and a great granddaughter due in March; brothers, Joe Pund (Brenda), Paul Pund (Judy) and Jerry Pund; and sisters, Joyce Holman and Mary Blunk.

Preceding her in death were her parents; Fidel and Hettie Pund; husband, Allen Peter; and her siblings, Bill Pund (Velma), Cletus Pund (Pat), Dorothy Pund, Vicki Pund, Rose Riddle (Bob) and Jimmy Pund in infancy.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM CST on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at St. Mark Catholic Church. Rev. Tony Hollowell will officiate with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 9, 2026, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel from 3:00-7:00 PM and on Tuesday from 8:30-9:30 AM at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark Catholic Church.
