Evansville, Indiana -

Lynn F. Kline, 80, passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital.

Lynn was born in Ketchikan, Alaska on September 12, 1944, son of the late Lamar (Bob) Kline and Georgia Kline. He was preceded in death by both parents, brother Robert Kline, sister-in-law Marjo Ress Howe and brother-in-law Abe Howe. Lynn was united in marriage on August 4, 1974, to the former Jane Ress of Tell City, who survives.

Lynn had a long career in retail which took him to various locations throughout the United States including Grand Rapids, MI; Lake Charles LA; Knoxville, TN; Seattle, WA; Chattanooga, TN and Fort Smith, AR. He was a longtime member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Evansville.

He is survived by his wife of fifty years Jane Ress Kline; son Eric Kline, Auburn, WA; daughter Lisa Kline, Las Vegas, NV; sister Samye Kline and husband John Berry, Mesa, AZ; brother Doug Kline and wife Sheilah, Kent, WA; brother-in-law Tom Ress and wife Roberta, Athens, AL; sister-in-law Mary Ress Farley and husband Steve, Franklin, KY; nieces and nephews Jasin Howe, Bridget Howe, Marjo Muir Wells, Michael Ress, Sara Ress Wittenberg, Elizabeth Farley, Stephen Farley, John Louis Farley, Cindy Hofferber, Bill Sears, Monique Anderson, Nicole Enright, Heather Heyer and Shane Kline.

As per Lynn’s request, there will be no services.

Memorial gifts made be made to Aldersgate United Methodist Church, Evansville or the Salvation Army.
