Mary Kellems
February 18, 1941 — July 6, 2025
Mary J. Kellems, 84, passed away on July 6, 2025, at her home in Lewisport, Kentucky.
She was born in Bristow on February 18, 1941, a daughter of Chester C. and Mayme E. (Seibert) Jones. She was a 1959 graduate of Cannelton High School.
Mary was a member of Hawesville Church of Christ and enjoyed sewing, baking and spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter, Lauren.
She is survived by her children, Mike Kellems and Janie Jackson; grandchildren, Lauren Kellems, Codie Nelson (Zach) and Hannah Jackson; siblings, Chester Lee “Pee Wee” Jones, Ike Jones (Diana), David Jones (Diane), Carl Jones (Cindy), Carol Sandage (J.R.), Joyce Ahl (Richard), Ethel Daugherty (Eldon), Sue Burst (Jr. Fuchs), Larry Jones (Carol) and Randy Jones (Mary).
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Mayme Jones; husband, Herman Kellems; a brother Loren Jones and a son-in-law, Tim Jackson.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM CDT on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at Huber Funeral Home, Cannelton Chapel, with burial in Millstone Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until service time.
