Mary Rust

Tell City, Indiana Mary M. Rust, 92, passed away at her home, surrounded by her family, on June 18, 2021. She was born in Tell City, Indiana to Sam and Margaret (Rothgerber) Bender on November 14, 1928. A graduate of Tell City High School, Mary worked for General Electric and B&L Dollar Store, formerly in Tell City. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and enjoyed fishing, bingo, sewing and making quilts and pillowcases. Surviving are her children, Judy Sims (Dennis), Lamar, Joe Rust (Violet) and Keith Rust (Roxanne), all of Tell City; grandchildren, Lynn Howe, Marc Rust and Danielle Zuelly and great grandchildren, Ashley Howe and Silas Zuelly. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Frank Paul Rust, sisters, Betty Jenkins, Evelyn Kessner, Kate Rowe, Bonnie Stiles and Peg Pekinpaugh and a brother Kenneth, in infancy. The family would like to thank Mary's caretakers over the years, as they were very appreciated. Gravesides services will be private in St. Mary Cemetery. Huber Funeral, Tell City Chapel is handling arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made the Alzheimer's Association.
