Michael “Mike” “Cowboy” Tanner, 72, passed away on March 31, 2026, at his home.

He was born on July 20, 1953, son of Raymond and Dorothy (Fuchs) Tanner. He worked at Schwab Safe and Tell City Chair Company. He retired from A & H Construction after 40 years.

Surviving are his siblings, Becky Howell (Jim Watson), Patty Ball (Wes), Jennifer Hurst and Brian Tanner and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents; sister Debbie Litherland and brothers, Billy Joe, Denny, Randy and Mark Tanner.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Huber Funeral Home is assisting Mike’s family with arrangements.
