Mitch Wood

Allen Mitchell Wood, 74, passed away on January 9, 2026.

He was born in Dolph, Arkansas on April 29, 1951, to Herschel and Ruthie (Skidmore) Wood.

Mitch was a United States Army veteran and a retired Boilermaker. He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing and vegetable gardening.

Mitch is survived by his wife of 39 years, Jerri (Hargis) Wood; his children, Kevin Wood, Carrie Dietrich (D.J.) and Cyril Wood (Katie); brothers, Wayne Wood and Norman Wood (Jill); sisters, Delores Hall (Ray) and Neccia Hayes (Tony); grandchildren, Nathan and Gabe Wood, Zachary and Xaiver Dietrich and August Wood and great grandchildren, Natalie and McKenna Wood.

Preceding him in death were his parents and a grandson, Harrison Wood.

Mitch requested no services. Huber Funeral Home is assisting his family with arrangements.
