Ralph Weatherholt

Cannelton, Indiana - Ralph J. Weatherholt, 92, passed away on Friday, February 16, 2018, at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville. He was born on October 1, 1925, in New Albany, son of the late Waverly Weatherholt and Alice (Wilson) Howell. Also preceding him in death was a sister, Carroll Harding. A World War II U.S. Navy veteran, Ralph married Rosemary Gunn on June 8, 1947, at Millstone Methodist Church. He retired as maintenance foreman from Massillon State Hospital where he worked for thirty three years. After retirement, he found enjoyed being at home, woodworking in his shop. Surviving are his wife of seventy years, Rosemary Weatherholt, Cannelton; daughter, Kathy Reisling (Oscar), Massillon, Ohio; sisters Doris Yvonne Burst (Ed), Cannelton and Maxine Foster (Don), Salt Lake City, Utah; grandchildren, David Masters (Brandi Jo) and Melissa Reisling and great grandchildren, Cameron Masters, Kayla Wolfe and Oscar Reisling. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM CST on March 17, 2018, at Millstone Cemetery. Huber Funeral Home, Cannelton Chapel, will be handling the arrangements.
