Richard Myers, Sr.

Tell City, Indiana Richard Lee Myers, Sr., 71, passed away Saturday, November 5, 2011 at VNA Charlier Hospice. He was born February 22, 1940 son of the late Harold and Frances (Shackelford) Myers. Also preceding him in death was a son Mark Myers and step-son Michael Marks. He retired from Alcoa and was a member of Union Local #104. He enjoyed fishing, horses, coon hunting and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Mary (Dimmett) Myers; daughter, Tammy Gentry; sons, Richard Myers, Jr, Casey Myers, Chris Myers, and Bobby Marks; sister, Frances ""Nadine"" Litherland; brothers, Jerry and Bill Myers; and several grandchildren. A memorial service will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at Lilly Dale Church of Christ. Bro. Eddie Olberding will officiate. Huber Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to VNA Hospice.
