Roger Applegate

Roger Applegate, 77, passed away November 2, 2025, at Brickyard Healthcare.

He was born in Troy on September 2, 1948, to Franklin and Ada (Adkins) Applegate.

Roger was a United States Marine veteran who served in Vietnam. He loved his work as a mechanic, his cat, Socks, and he enjoyed listening to country music, especially as Johnny Cash and Hank Williams.

Roger was a member of the VFW Post #2939 and Disabled American Veterans.

Surviving is his wife, Linda Applegate; children, David, Daniel, Roger, Sharon and Mary Applegate; stepdaughter, Tonya Hunt; grandchildren, Lily, Summer and Kara Applegate, Alexis Cole and Cody Sipes, Zoey Ball, Robby Pannett, Tabitha and William Dixon; great granddaughters, Haley and Audrey; a sister, Diana Richards and  a brother, Kenny Applegate.

Roger is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Dennis and James Applegate.

A graveside service with military rites will be held at 11:00 AM CST on Thursday, November 6, 2026, at Simons Cemetery in Tobinsport.
