Ronald L. Pannett, 72, passed away on August 11, 2025, surrounded by his family.

He was born on August 27, 1952, a son of Alice (Fuchs) and Clarence Pannett, Sr. Ronnie was a 1970 graduate of Tell City High School and spent 55 years working as a butcher, retiring in 2018. He had worked at Vincent's Market, Houchen Foods, Noble's IGA and Cash Saver.

Ronnie was a member of American Legion Post #213 and an active former member of the Cannelton Jaycees. Ronnie enjoyed looking for antiques, was a clock collector and always looked forward to seeing what new items were offered at grocery stores. Family meant everything to him, including his dog, Coco, and he always wanted to be kept up on the latest gossip and goings on in the community.

Surviving are his children, Ronica Jarboe (Greg) and Nicholas Pannett (Joanie Bittner-Rearden); grandchildren, Dr. Helianthus Jarboe (Olive Hwang), Myla "Oak" Jarboe, Kaden Pannett and Jacob Pannett and a brother, Robert Pannett.

His parents and a brother, Clarence Pannett, preceded him in death.

Ronnie's family appreciated Dr. Maheshwari, PCMH's Oncology Dept., Oakwood Health Campus and Heart to Heart Hospice for the care and attention that he received from them.

Ronnie requested that there be no funeral services. Huber Funeral Home is assisting his children with his wishes.

Memorial contributions may be made to Perry County Memorial Hospital's Oncology Department or Rivers Edge Animal Shelter.
