Tell City, Indiana –
Rosalie A. Rogers, 89, passed away on December 1, 2024, at Oakwood Health Campus.
She was born in Danville, Illinois, on September 16, 1935, the daughter of Dr. Henry P. and Opal A. (Eagleton) Lawrence.
Rosalie had a bachelor’s degree in education and taught elementary students for several years, later deciding to stay home with her young children.
She was a member of Hawesville United Methodist Church. She enjoyed working in her yard and always looked forward to visits from her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her family was the center of her life.
Rosalie is survived by a daughter, Susan Floyd (Brian); son, Jeff Rogers (Kassi); grandchildren, Jennifer Gonzalez (Jonathan), Kimberly Hawkins (Christopher), Sam Rogers (Katie), Maddie Rogers and Brad Floyd (Christy) and great grandchildren, Tristan Floyd, Blake and Cora Gonzalez and Harper, Hadley and Hayden Hawkins.
Her parents preceded her in death along with her husband, Meredith Rogers.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, December 6, 2024, at Hawesville United Methodist Church with entombment to follow. Visitation will be from 3:00 until 7:00 PM on Thursday at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, and on Friday from 9:00 AM until service time at church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hawesville United Methodist Church or Alzheimer’s Association.
