Rose A. Parker, 67, passed away on August 2, 2025.

She was born in Tell City on February 9, 1958, a daughter of Marion and Anna Faye (Kelly) Gray. Rose graduated from Tell City High School.

She owned and operated the Tell Street Café’ along with her sister. Rose had a reputation as a hardworking and efficient waitress for many years and had worked at Snappy Grill, The Freezer and at Rocky Point’s Waterfront Grille.

Later in her life, she discovered a love of painting and art. Rocks by Rose were found all over Tell City. If you offered her a trip to the casino, she was likely not to turn you down. Above all, her love for her family, not just her children and grandchildren, but her brothers and sisters and nieces and nephews, meant the most to her. She enjoyed spending time with all of them.

Surviving are her sons, Stephen Parker (Erin) and Mikey Parker (Carly); grandchildren, Danielle (Hunter Sodrel), Melanie and Mariah Parker; great granddaughter, Wrenley Sodrel; sisters, Mary Noble (Joe), Melissa Stinogal, Theresa Gronquist (Leo) and Rachel Brown (Doug); brothers, Charlie Gray (Susie) and Eddie Hauser (Katie) and her companion, Dan Miller.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Marion and Nelda Gray and Edward and Anna Faye Hauser; a daughter, Stephanie Parker and a sister, Janet Herd.

A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 PM on Wednesday at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, with visitation from 3:00 until 7:00 PM. Joe Noble will officiate.
