Sandy Wilkerson

Sandy Wilkerson, 63, passed away on April 8, 2026, at Owensboro Regional Health Hospital.

She was born in Evansville on May 1, 1962, daughter of Eugene and Betty Jo (Allen) Covey.

Sandy retired from Best Chairs where she had worked for over 25 years as a seamstress. She loved to sew and ride her side by side with her husband. Sandy always looked forward to going to her river camp to fish and visits from her family, especially her grandchildren.

Surviving is her husband, Willard “Hawk” Wilkerson; sons, William and David Wilkerson; stepdaughter, Christine Hinrichsen (Darren); grandchildren Jayson, Audrey, Garrett, Christopher and Kaitlyn Wilkerson; sister, Susie Covey Clemens (Alex) and brother, Stevie Covey (Kathy).

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Sara Wilkerson.

Visitation will be from 2:00 until 7:00 PM on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel.

There will be no funeral service with burial taking place later in Rowe Cemetery.
