Sharon A. Shreve, 83, passed away on January 13, 2026, at her home.
She was born in Lamar on October 15, 1942, the daughter of Charles Edward and Reba Mae (Powell) Harris.
Sharon and her husband, Dennis owned and operated Troy Market and Shreve’s Main Street Shell until their retirement. She also was an assistant manager at Long John Silver’s for several years.
Sharon was a lifetime member of the VFW Post #2939 Auxiliary and a former member of the Order of Eastern Star. When her children were younger, she loved camping and going on picnics with them. Sharon enjoyed reading romance novels, being outdoors and flower gardening, even if her husband thought she couldn’t possibly find another place to put more flowers. She always looked forward to visits from her grandchildren and great grandchildren who were the highlight of her life.
Her survivors include her children, Dennis Shreve, Jr. (Leslee), Terry Shreve, and Kim Patrick (Tom); grandchildren, Amanda Litherland (Aaron), Heather Patrick, Alishia Canary (Josh), Matthew Shreve (Tristen), Stephen Patrick (Amity), Amber Crockett (Ben), Megan Shreve (Chris Hyatt), Amber Wheeler (Daniel) and Miranda Shreve; several great grandchildren and a sister, Charlene Putnam.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dennis Shreve, Sr.; sisters, Linda Nollge and Bonnie Jean Blackwell and brothers, Riley "Red" Harris and Donnie Harris.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM CST on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Pastor Joe Noble will officiate. Visitation will be from 3:00 until 7:00 PM on Friday and from 9:00 AM until service time on Saturday. There will be a VFW Post #2939 Auxiliary memorial service at 6:45 PM on Friday evening.
