Sudie Nix

Sudie M. Nix, 95, passed away on April 11, 2025.

She was born in Owensboro, Kentucky on February 8, 1930, a daughter of Edgar H. and Jenny Victoria (Woods) Kyle.

Sudie was married to Raymond J. Nix on December 23, 1948, in Hawesville, Kentucky. They were married for 61 years before his death in 2010.

She was a member of Chestnut Grove Church of Jesus Christ and had attended Gospel Tabernacle Church also, living next door to them for many years.

Sudie enjoyed crocheting, baking for her family, embroidery work and working jigsaw puzzles.

Surviving are her children, Harold Nix (Ruth), Peggy Hess, Donna Hess, Brenda East (Wayne) and Barry Nix (Diane); sister, Anita Kellems and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Edgar and Victoria Kyle; husband, Raymond Nix; children, Delbert Ray Nix and David Nix; sister, Annie Lee Kyle and brothers Charles, Paul, Joseph, Everett, Lewis, Thomas and Kenneth Kyle; son-in-law, Harold Hess, Jr. and daughter-in-law, Delsie Nix.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM CDT on Monday, April 14, 2025, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City with burial in New Cliff Cemetery in Cannelton. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until service time on Monday.

Memorial contributions may be made to Chestnut Grove Church of Jesus Christ.
