Terry Howe

Terry "Butch" Howe, 74, formerly of Tell City, passed away on July 13, 2023, surrounded by his family, at his home in Evansville.

He was born on September 21, 1948 to the late Norman Howe and Bettye (Labhart) Kilian.

A 1966 graduate of Tell City High School, Butch attended Owensboro Business College where he earned his Associate's Degree on the G.I. Bill. He was a United States Marine Corps veteran that served in Vietnam and was a member of the American Legion.

Butch retired from Holland Dairy after 25 years. He was united in marriage on July 21, 1990 to Valerie Poehlein.

In his younger years, Butch loved to play softball and golf. Once life slowed down, he enjoyed backyard bird watching, crossword puzzles and watching a lot of T.V.

Surviving is his wife, Valerie Howe; his children, Shawn Howe, Shannon Etienne (Glenn), Rachel Roark (Chris) and Angela Black; grandchildren, Rylan, Grayson, Braeden, Jaelynn, Brennon, Breckin, Harper and Phoenix and siblings, Cheryl Goffinet (Stan), Angela Howe, Pamela Stuteville Black, Mike Stuteville, Les Stuteville (Amy) and Joel Stuteville (Terri).

Preceding him in death were his parents and a sister, Vicky Tuggle.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM CDT on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery with military rites conducted by the American Legion Post #213. Pastor Jack Masterson will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rivers Edge Animal Shelter.
