Traci Hudson Casallas

Traci Hudson Casallas, 37, passed away on April 9, 2025, at University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.

Born on June 14, 1987, Traci was a 2006 graduate of Tell City High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Western Governors University. Traci was currently employed with Owensboro Design Lab where she was a student-parent designer and community liaison.

Traci’s greatest joy in her life was her son, Parker. She served on Deer Park Elementary PTO and was always willing to offer a helping hand. Traci had an eye for detail and loved to plan and decorate. Anyone that knew her would say that she would have been the perfect party planner. Traci loved to cook, make crafts and listen to music. She cherished her friends, as they cherished her, and she loved to take time to visit old friends and reminisce. Who can forget hearing Cumbersome blasting as she drove around in her black Firebird? Life was just more fun when Traci was around.

Surviving is her son, Parker Casallas; mother, Terri Ann Thomas; father, Brian Hudson (Patty Brinson); brother, Jagger Hudson; and grandmothers, Rose Thomas and Pauletta Hudson.

Preceding her in death were her grandfathers, Terry Thomas and Bob Hudson.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM CDT on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery with military rites. Jarrod Gaynor will officiate.

Visitation will be held on Monday from 3:00 – 7:00 PM CDT and Tuesday from 9:00 AM CDT until service time at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the OAKS Transitional House for Women and Children in Cannelton or Deer Park Elementary School PTO in Owensboro, Kentucky.
